Wetherby Place 6 preview | 26th January

12.50 – racingtv.com/freemonth Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase – 3m

The top-weight GOOD WORK hasn’t jumped with much fluency over fences but he has still finished second twice and was beaten under a length by the classy Moonlighter last time. If he can jump better, he should be able to go one better. DAWN RAIDER has won a few times on soft or worse ground and could go well.

Selections: GOOD WORK, DAWN RAIDER

13.25 – Watch RacingTV With Free Trial Now Juvenile Hurdle – 2m

HIGHLAND FROLIC was a distant second in his hurdles debut but finished a lot closer when third in a class two event last time on soft ground and this race is easier. He should have more to come and could open his account, while RING OF BEARA retains potential in this sphere after two promising efforts and has a chance down in grade here.

Selections: HIGHLAND FROLIC, RING OF BEARA

14.00 – racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f

A huge field for this competitive race but EUCHAN FALLS posted a really good effort when second at Ayr last time and is only three pounds higher in this race, so might be able to go one better granted some luck. BLUE SHARK has won his last three starts and would have won easier last time with a clearer passage. He is fancied to go well in search of the four-timer.

Selections: EUCHAN FALLS, BLUE SHARK

14.35 – Racing TV Free For A Month Handicap Chase – 2m3f

ADRIMEL has a great record on soft or worse ground and even though he was below form on his return at Wetherby, he will be fitter here. He is an all-or-nothing character but has a great chance if able to reproduce his best. VIVA LAVILLA was beaten when he fell last time but showed good form over hurdles last season on soft ground, so could get his chasing career back on track here.

Selections: ADRIMEL, VIVA LAVILLA

15.10 – Try Racing TV For Free Now EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle – 2m

Etalon could take some beating but MISS LAMB was useful in bumpers and was second in a strong Listed event on soft ground before a good third in a Grade Two at Aintree. She returned a beaten favourite on her hurdles debut when last seen but goes well fresh (won on debut) and could resume her progress here.

Selections: MISS LAMB

15.40 – wetherbyracing.co.uk Mares’ Handicap Chase – 2m3f

LINCOLN LYN opened her account over fences at Fakenham earlier this month and should have a lot more to offer in this race off bottom-weight. She is clearly going places having won two of her last three starts and is the one to beat. SWINCOMBE FLEAT won on her chase debut and although she disappointed last time when pulled up, she might be worth another chance in this grade.

Selections: LINCOLN LYN, SWINCOMBE FLEAT
