Warwick Place 6 preview | 31st May

17.40 – Wigley Property Raceday Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – 3m2f

NICKELSONTHEDIME won at this course last year off this mark in this month and has placed in three of his last four starts, including a neck second last-time-out. The nine-year-old should take a bit of beating, while SANDALWOOD beat a subsequent winner at Taunton before being disqualified and should go well off this dangerous-looking mark.

Tips: NICKELSONONTHEDIME, SANDALWOOD

18.10 – EHB Residential Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m

None of the trio can be discounted. DOUBLE CLICK has won two of his last for current connections and won on handicap debut last time. He could complete the hat-trick, though CHOIRMASTER is well-treated in this sphere based on his Flat form and should go well if able to build on his latest second. ALLIHIES is improving over hurdles and cannot be discounted either.

Tips: DOUBLE CLICK, CHOIRMASTER, ALLIHIES

18.40 – Fisher German Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m

GUINNESS AFFAIR won three in succession, including his first two over hurdles before returning a beaten favourite on his handicap debut at Exeter. He could get back on track, though MAGISTRATO has been highly-tried by Paul Nicholls and while he has not been able to deliver his true ability as of yet, he should be capable of winning a race like this. STEPNEY CAUSEWAY is included as cover.

Tips: GUINNESS AFFAIR, MAGISTRATO, STEPNEY CAUSEWAY

19.10 – Brookbanks Novices’ Hurdle – 2m3f

GLOBAL FAMENGLORY would have won but for falling at the last at Stratford after placing in his three previous starts. He is taken to make amends granted a clear round. His biggest danger is EVERYONESGAME though, who was third in a stronger race last time and cannot be taken lightly in what should prove to be a good match-up.

Tips: GLOBAL FAMENGLORY, EVERYONESGAME

19.40 – Thompson Property & Risk Services Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m

LADY RESET is a consistent mare, who concluded last season with a fair second at Uttoxeter and reappeared with a solid fourth at Sandown on the Flat just six days ago. Returned to hurdles off a fair mark, coupled with course-and-distance winning form, David Pipe’s seven-year-old is fancied to defy top-weight.

Tips: LADY RESET

20.10 – Bromwich Hardy Handicap Chase – 2m4f

JUNIOR MASSINI is far from straightforward but ran well to finish second on his chase debut after a long absence here 18 days ago when narrowly beaten and connections have appointed Harry Cobden to do the steering this time which adds confidence. This eight-year-old is fancied to beat Fortunate Fred.

Tips: JUNIOR MASSINI
