Warwick Place 6 preview | 24th February

14.00 – Join A Kim Bailey Racing Syndicate ‘Hands & Heels’ Handicap Hurdle – 3m2f

CAFE PUSHKIN hasn’t been able to get competitive in his last four starts but back on good ground for the first time since his short-head defeat at Fontwell, he must have a chance. DESIGN ICON ran well when second last time and is feared, while NICKELSONONTHEDIME has a good record at this venue and is respected.

Selections: Cafe Pushkin, Design Icon, Nickelsonthedime

14.30 – Oakman Racing Club EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle – 2m3f

PIKAR should be a clear favourite. The form of his decisive Chepstow win has worked out well plus his latest third at Cheltenham was a solid effort to say the least. He drops in grade and should go close. HENRI THE SECOND was only fourth at Cheltenham last time but is better than that and is the obvious danger, so he’s included too.

Selections: Pikar, Henri The Second

15.00 – Feldon Dunsmore Budbrooke Handicap Chase – 2m4f

BOWTOGREATNESS found Grade 1 company too hot last time and this is a major ease in grade. He has to carry top-weight but he has more to come and should be thereabouts, likewise GALAHAD QUEST, who’s won and placed off higher marks in stronger company previously and has a chance. LOSTINTRANSLATION ran poorly last time but he’s still a class horse and could surprise a few at large odds.

Selections: Bowtogreatness, Galahad Quest, Lostintranslation

15.35 – Charlie Wilson Memorial Mares’ Handicap Chase – 3m

WOULDUBEWELL failed to land a blow in the Classic Chase here last time but she will find this race easier and is back on her last winning mark as well. She enters calculations and so does CREDO, who has a win and three seconds from four starts in this sphere and should make another bold bid off top-weight here.

Selections: Wouldubewell, Credo

16.10 – Rubicon Racing Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m4f

BARDD has made the frame in all of his last three starts here, in which he’s been second twice plus all of those efforts were off higher marks. He unfortunately fell last time but the handicapper has given him a great chance to extend his fine record at the track. IMPERIAL HOPE is actually the highest-rated runner in the field though and should improve from his chase debut sixth, so he is worthy of interest.

Selections: Bardd, Imperial Hope

16.40 – Join Hot To Trot Racing EBF Mares’ Open NH Flat Race

A lot of guesswork involved in this race but MOST AGREEABLE is from a top stable and could go well on her debut. SUBTLE GARDEN is also of interest too, especially with her trainer in good form of late. She could figure if ready to roll on her debut in what is a wide-open bumper.

Selections: Most Agreeable, Subtle Fortune
