Uttoxeter Place 6 betting preview | November 11th

12.27 – Carlsberg Marston’s Maiden Hurdle – 2m3f

LOOKAWAY looks an exciting prospect for the Neil King team. He showed a high level of form in bumpers last season, winning both starts, including a Grade 2 in April. He is strongly fancied to remain unbeaten and make the perfect start to his hurdles career here.

Selections: LOOKAWAY

13.02 – A&S Bearings Celebrate 25 Years In Business Novices’ Hurdle – 1m7f

STRONG LEADER bolted up on debut at Warwick and backed that up with a good second at Cheltenham last time. He should have a lot more improvement to come and is fancied to make a winning hurdles debut for the in-form Olly Murphy team.

Selections: STRONG LEADER

13.37 – Wainwright Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

BEGIN THE LUCK found only one too good at Exeter earlier this month and while he’s been out up for pounds as a result, he might be able to go one better. CAWTHORNE has been in superb form this year, winning three times and finishing second twice in five starts. He should give another bold account of himself here.

Selections: BEGIN THE LUCK, CAWTHORNE

14.12 – Hobgoblin Handicap Chase – 3m2f

CLASSIC BEN was unlucky back in January at Exeter but has ran well the last two times at the course to finish second. He makes his return but goes well fresh and has a good chance off top-weight. TOMMIE BEAU was below form last time but is the type to bounce back, so shouldn’t be dismissed.

Selections: CLASSIC BEN, TOMMIE BEAU

14.47 – British EBF Mares’ Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase – 2m6f

Selections: EUREKA CREEK

This is competitive but EUREKA CREEK appeals as the type to be an even better chaser than a hurdler and she shaped better than her finishing position indicated in a listed event last time. She has undergone wind surgery since then and her opening mark looks reasonable, so she gets the vote.

15.22 –  QuinnBet Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f

Selections: JUST LOOSE CHANGE

JUST LOOSE CHANGE left his previous efforts behind when winning a 15-runner event on handicap debut at Worcester and even though he’d gone up seven pounds, he should go close in his follow-up bid. This is a weak event, so he should, at the very least, make the frame.
