NEWMILL GETAWAY has been largely consistent in defeat in this sphere and has made the frame on four of her last five starts. She wasn’t beaten far at Huntingdon last time out and will appreciate returning to better ground. I’m struggling to see her out of the frame.

At huge odds, I will give a squeak to THISTLE BE THE ONE. He finished second to two very good horses on his previous course outings (French Ship and Alexei) and they are the best pieces of form in the field. With his sights lowered back at a track that suits, Ben Clarke’s charge should be able to easily outrun his odds.

If GOOD FRIDAY FAIRY can recapture his best form then I see no reason why he can’t get seriously involved. He will be happier back on a quicker surface and is back in a similar mark from when he won in November at Exeter. I can see him bouncing back, though EDE’IFFS ROCK.

The strongest race on the card, with most having some sort of a chance. I’ll highlight TREASURE PLANET though, who ran well on handicap debut at Newbury last month and is open to further improvement. He should be in the mix, likewise last month’s course winner KHAFRE.

16.45 Crest Racing Mares’ Handicap Chase

BOBBI’S BEAUTY might be able to defy top weight. She’s clear of the field on ratings and will benefit from the ease in grade. She bolted up on her previous course outing and the first-time cheekpieces are an interesting move. She can make a bold bid to potentially make it two wins from two at the venue.
