She is two pounds below her last successful mark, so she is one to consider. Of the rest, GOLDEN PROSPERITY is lurking on a handy mark and could make an impact.

ISLE OF WOLVES has to concede weight to these but he is more reliable than most and drops in grade after two respectable efforts in stronger company the last two times. He isn’t proven over a trip this far on the Flat but should be thereabouts. TRUE ROMANCE is only three pounds above his last winning mark and can be competitive as well.

PITTSBURG improved on his two previous Flat starts to finish a half-a-length second at this course last time and is interesting over this longer distance. He could be hard to beat, while YOUNG WINSTON has decent form off higher marks and isn’t out of things from a good draw in stall 2 here.

BRISTOL HILL hasn’t landed a blow of late but has become well-treated and was competing in much stronger races than this last year off higher marks. From a decent slot in stall 6, he could pose a threat. HAMMY END has winning form at the course and shouldn’t be dismissed lightly if able to perform to his best.

GOLDEN SPEECH should be winning a race of this nature. He has finished second in all of his last three starts and Charlie Appleby has found him a good opportunity to get a first win under his belt. Fingers crossed Jamie Spencer can keep things simple and get his head in front here.
