TRUESHAN could only finish fourth on his return at Ascot but remains one of the best stayers around and, with conditions in his favour, Alan King’s multiple Group 1 winner should prove hard to beat. SWEET WILLIAM is a stayer on the up and should have a lot more to come, so he’s definitely a leading contender.

19.37 Chasemore Farm Brigadier Gerard Stakes (Group 3)
ROYAL RHYME won three times last year and was far from disgraced when stepped up to a Group 1 race when fifth in Champion Stakes at Ascot last time out. He is the one to beat. CERTAIN LAD is a very solid yardstick and should give the favourite the most to think about.
