Sandown Place 6 Preview | 23rd July

13.55 Tony Linnett Memorial Handicap

NOGO’S DREAM last won off a 4lb higher mark in a stronger event and finished a good second over C&D back in June off this figure. He can be hard to predict but he’s more than capable of winning this event if he can produce his best.

Tips: NOGO’S DREAM

14.25 Martin Densham & Peter Deal Memorial British EBF Maiden Stakes

Having cost a massive sum for connections, UNITED AUTHORITY will be expected by quite a few to make a winning debut. His handler has had a few winners of late and James Doyle is booked for the ride, so with the potential to be smart, I can see him going well.

Tips: UNITED AUTHORITY

14.55 European Bloodstock News EBF Star Stakes

BAYSIDE VIEW might be able to get the better of Aperoll. She went very close on debut at Doncaster before emphatically opening her account at Newbury, where she made all and won by five lengths. This will be harder to dominate but she has more to offer and can double her tally.

Tips: BAYSIDE VIEW

15.30 Sompo Insurance Handicap

TAWAJJAH has improved significantly since debut, finishing second three times and winning once. His latest effort at Newmarket came on handicap bow in a stronger event and a repeat showing might well see him come out on top.

Tips: TAWAJJAH

16.07 George Lindon-Travers Memorial Handicap

None of the trio can be ruled out so we will cover the lot. MY BALLYQUINN has won two of his last three starts and must be respected, while ALMA LATINA should improve from her handicap debut third at Epsom. PROBATION bolted up at Lingfield last time out and gets weight from the other two, so he’s a major player.

Tips: MY BALLYQUINN, ALMA LATINA & PROBATION

16.42 Weatherbys Racing Bank Fillies’ Handicap

TALITHA ROUGE has shaped well on all three starts to date and could easily prove capable of making a winning handicap debut. She is dropped significantly in grade and can make a bold bid.

Tips: TALITHA ROUGE
