Royal Ascot Win 6 Preview | 17th June

14.30 Queen Anne Stakes

NOTABLE SPEECH was just behind ROSALLION when LEAD ARTIST won the Lockinge Stakes and it’s very difficult to split all three. The more I think about this, the more I am leaning towards the former and latter. However, I will cover all three and hope one does win! I think the marker may have underestimated Colin Keane’s mount from a price perspective.

Tips: NOTABLE SPEECH, ROSALLION, LEAD ARTIST

15.05 Coventry Stakes

The Coventry Stakes looks really competitive as you would expect, but I’m really interested in ANDAB for the in-form Joseph O’Brien team. I’m confident he can turn around the latest form with POWER BLUE and go very close. I think he’s going to be top-class. I will also include debutant winners GSTAAD and ROCK ON THUNDER along with last-time-out winner GAVOO.

Tips: ANDAB, POWER BLUE, GSTAAD, ROCK ON THUNDER, GAVOO

15.40 King Charles III Stakes

George Scott’s sprinter WEST ACRE is a specialist over five furlongs, with his form figures reading 1111 (4-4), and he should get a lovely pace to aim at being drawn high (23) with Regional (drawn 17) expected to go forward on his side of the track. Last year’s second REGIONAL and fourth BELIEVING should be bang in contention.

Tips: WEST ACRE, REGIONAL, BELIEVING

16.20 St James’s Palace

FIELD OF GOLD was an impressive winner of the Irish 2,000 Guineas when last seen, but RULING COURT was a deserved winner when he beat him in the English equivalent and would be my bigger fancy. RASHABAR cannot be ruled out at huge odds if he has taken a step forward from his comeback fourth in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.

Tips: FIELD OF GOLD, RULING COURT, RASHABAR

17.00 Ascot Stakes

I like Joseph O’Brien’s two in this race. Dylan McMonagle has seemingly opted for LEINSTER, and that could be a statement of intent for the bang in-form Joseph O’Brien, who runs my other fancy NURBURGRING. This four-year-old made a winning return at the Curragh in March and produced a great effort from the front when fourth in last month’s Chester Cup in spite of doing too much too soon.

Tips: LEINSTER, NURBURGRING

17.35 Wolferton Stakes

The Huxley Stakes has produced the last two winners of this race and LIBERTY LANE, who finished third in it this year prior to winning at Goodwood last time out at this level, should go well. KING’S GAMBIT is the other one I really like given how highly he was tried last season.

Tips: LIBERTY LANE, KING’S GAMBIT
