Pontefract Place 6 Preview | 18th September
13.52 Go Racing In Yorkshire Future Stars Apprentice Handicap
Having made the frame the last twice, CARGIN BHUI is fancied to get back on the scoresheet for the first time in a while. He ran on strongly to take third at Catterick last time out and the assessor has kept his mark unaltered. If things drop right, I think he’ll be very competitive.
Tips: CARGIN BHUI
14.22 Download The Raceday Ready App Novice Stakes
The Richard Fahey-trained KIND TOUCH made a winning debut at Ripon 23 days ago and should be well suited to this step up in distance. The two newcomers are interesting on paper, but with the experience under his belt, this promising youngster is fancied to make a bold bid.
Tips: KIND TOUCH
14.52 Ben And Mary Hibbert Memorial Handicap
YORKSHIRE LADY was a determined winner at Windsor when last seen, looking like she outstayed her opposition and I reckon she can follow-up off this small 2lb higher figure. I know she’s up against less exposed, younger rivals, but that latest win suggests she’s going to be hard to topple if in the same sort of form.
Tips: YORKSHIRE LADY
15.22 Always Trying Racing Syndicate Handicap
FREE PIC has strung together two solid efforts in defeat of late and must be a serious player in this event with more to come. I think she’s ready to open her account at the expense of Calaria, who was well held at Catterick when last seen.
Tips: FREE PIC
15.52 Always Trying Racing Syndicate Handicap
This is a very weak contest with the vote going to LIGHTS GO DOWN. He ran really well when runner-up under positive tactics at Ayr back in July and the handicapper has left him on the same mark. If he’s able to get to the lead again, I see no reason why another prominent showing isn’t firmly on the cards.
Tips: LIGHTS GO DOWN
16.23 Nadeen Dawson Memorial Maiden Stakes
The final race of the preview should see NATIONAL PARK tough to beat. This son of Dubawi has made the frame on all three all-weather starts to date, chasing some very smart prospects, so there’s every chance that he will come out on top on his turf debut.
Tips: NATIONAL PARK
