14.15 – Tie The Knot Wedding Catering Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle
HILL OF TARA is on a roll at present, winning four of his last five starts, and despite being hit with a huge hike in the handicap, he remains the one to beat. HASTY PARISIAN has made the frame in all three starts at this course and should again be thereabouts.

14.45 – Strong Flavours Catering Handicap Chase
PRINCE QUALI improved significantly from his stable debut to only be beaten half-a-length at Wincanton and should be hard to stop with plenty more to come in this grade. GIVE ME A MOMENT is 3Ib below his last winning mark and is also down in grade. He cannot be dismissed.

15.15 – Structured Communications Maiden Hurdle
HMS PRESIDENT is an exciting addition to this division. He achieved a high level of form on the flat and should be hard to beat. His main danger is KOENIGSSTERN, who has displayed promise in all three starts over hurdles and is open to further improvement.

15.45 – Big Sprat Novices’ Handicap Chase
SCARFACE looked better equipped when fitted with headgear last time out, in which he scored quite comfortably over C&D, beating Rocky My Way, who has subsequently run well to finish second at Newbury. He should make a bold bid, while the consistent BALLYBEEN is the other to consider.

16.15 – Mayo Wynne Baxter Handicap Hurdle
HOMME D’UN SOIR ran well at a big price towards the end of last year when third at Doncaster and only found one too good last time out. He can be considered, as can COLOURS ON CANVAS, who chased home a useful prospect when second here last time out.

16.45 – Half Moon Plumpton Mares’ Handicap Hurdle
GEARING’S POINT was in good form on the flat last year, winning four times, and has shaped well in both hurdle starts. She could go well on her handicap debut, while EVENTFUL has slipped to his last winning mark, and the booking of a top jockey is significant.
