Swansea v Man Utd

Manchester United outlined their title credentials with an impressive 4-0 win over West Ham last weekend and they will be looking to make it two wins out of two when they travel to Swansea. United had the look of the old United under Sir Alex Ferguson at times against West Ham and they should be too strong for Swansea at the Liberty Stadium. Swansea’s home form improved under Paul Clement last season and they picked up a decent goalless draw at Southampton last time out, but United should win this to nil so 1-0 or 2-0.

Southampton v West Ham

Southampton’s home woes continued last weekend after being held to a goalless draw by Swansea and the Saints have drawn four of their last seven games nil-nil. West Ham will be looking to improve defensively after shipping four goals at Old Trafford on the opening weekend so goals should be at a premium at St Mary’s . 0-0 would again be a popular call for this game or maybe a 1-1 draw in what should be an evenly contested battle.

Leicester v Brighton

Brighton were given a tough introduction to Premier League life against Manchester City last weekend and it doesn’t get any easier with a trip to Leicester. Leicester were unlucky to come out the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller against Arsenal last Friday and with Jamie Vardy looking like he is back to his menacing best they should prove too strong for Brighton. Brighton’s lack of a goalscoring threat looks a real concern for them and Leicester can win this to nil 1-0, 2-0.

Stoke v Arsenal

Arsenal enjoy a good recent record against Stoke, having won their last five fixtures against the Potters and that should continue this weekend. Stoke endured a difficult end to last season winning just three Premier League games since February and last weekend’s defeat to Everton has increased the pressure on manager Mark Hughes. Arsenal look like they will be free-scoring as usual this season, but their defence remains a weak point. Expect both teams to score in a high scoring affair and Arsenal to take the spoils. 1-2, 1-3 or other away win.
