Haydock Place 6 Preview | 9th August
13.55 Aston Martin Nursery ROYAL BODYGUARD has improved with each run and came from off the pace to finish third at Doncaster last month. He looks sure to make an impact off a low weight. BALLISTIC MISSILE was down the field at Royal Ascot last time out but won a good race on debut at York and might be worth another chance.

Out of Sync: Vlahovic and the Tactical Evolution of the No. 9
This is the summer of strikers. Everybody wants one, which is a development many football purists will see as a sign nature is healing. Scoring goals is, after all, the entire point of the sport, but there have been years of tactical innovations changing the way teams attack, resulting in a lack of readymade ‘number 9s’.

Chepstow Place 6 Preview | 7th August
17.30 Racing League 15 Handicap JUAN LES PINS remains on a lengthy losing run but he’s shaped well of late at York, placing in a pair of big-field handicaps and has become dangerously well handicapped.

Starting with the Community Shield, this season could be Liverpool’s to dominate
Arne Slot’s first season as Liverpool manager could hardly have gone any better. While many expected a drop-off following the departure of Jurgen Klopp, the Reds instead made a big step forward, winning the Premier League title at a canter and there’s strong reason to believe the champions will be even stronger this season.

Pontefract Win 6 Preview | 6th August
14.30 Heb Cleaning And Hygiene Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap This isn’t a deep event and I’ll take one more chance on course specialist HIGHWAYGREY, who has five C&D wins to his name (all off higher figures) and should be able to capitalise off this reduced mark.

Man Utd or Newcastle – which team would be the better fit for in-demand Benjamin Sesko?
Benjamin Sesko could be on his way to the Premier League this summer. The Slovenian striker is wanted by Manchester United who are in the market for a new centre forward and Newcastle United who could soon need a replacement for Liverpool-linked Alexander Isak.

Windsor Place 6 Preview | 4th August
17.10 Vegas Racenight Coming To Windsor Handicap SIR WILLIAM wasn’t seen to the best effect when third at Doncaster last time out, but the handicapper has given him a serious chance off this 3lb lower mark.

Goodwood Win 4 Preview | 2nd August
Goodwood WIN 4 – Day 5 14.30 Qatar Lillie Langtry Stakes (Fillies’ & Mares’ Group 2) WAARDAH is stepping up in grade, but she was so impressive in a Listed race at this course in June and this longer trip looks sure to bring about further improvement.

Goodwood Win 4 Preview | 1st August
Goodwood WIN 4 – Day 4 14.30 Coral Golden Mile (Heritage Handicap) TRIBAL CHIEF looks very well handicapped based on his pair of runner-up efforts to Bullet Point at Newmarket, and with conditions coming in the favour of David Menuisier’s charge, I think he’s a big player under Christophe Soumillon.

Goodwood Win 4 Preview | 31st July
14.30 HKJC World Pool Gordon Stakes (Group 3) I’m really liking the claims of WIMBLEDON HAWKEYE. This Group 2 winner has spent the majority of his career to date competing in top-class events and has run so well in defeat since last successful.
