Nottinhgam Place 6 Preview | 30th October
13.05 EBF Stallions Golden Horn Maiden Stakes
An interesting opener with a couple of newcomers to note. EL MATADOR is related to several winners, and his trainer often does very well with two-year-olds, so he’s appealing on paper. OPPORTUNITY was an expensive yearlong and also represents connections who can get one ready on debut, so he’s the alternative.
Tips: EL MATADOR & OPPORTUNITY

ASTEVERDI beat subsequent winner Ziggy’s Phoenix at Sandown in June, and she remains well handicapped off a mark of 80 based on that performance. Her latest third at Goodwood has worked out well, with the runner-up subsequently emerging victorious, so she will prove a tough nut to crack under these conditions.
Tips: ASTEVERDI
14.08 Robin Hood Stakes (Listed) (Formerly Known As The Ben Marshall Stakes)
The prolific SPARKS FLY won eight times last year, and this filly is in her element when conditions are soft or worse. She made all in a French-listed race earlier this month and could improve again as this is only her fifth start this year. Given her suitability for this ground, I think she is capable of beating today’s opponents.
Tips: SPARKS FLY
14.38 Experience Hospitality At Nottingham Racecourse Novice Stakes (GBB Race)
FIREBLADE improved from his debut effort to finish runner-up at Ascot, and conditions are likely to be similar here. Dropping in grade, with the step-up in trip sure to be within range, this son of Frankel has an excellent chance of going one place better.
Tips: FIREBLADE
15.08 Advertise Your Business At Nottingham Racecourse Handicap
BLIND BEGGAR finished a very good second over C&D two weeks ago on similar ground, and the handicapper has left his mark unaltered. He is only a pound higher than when he scored in a stronger race at Bath earlier in the year and should be heavily involved.
Tips: BLIND BEGGAR
15.38 Come Racing 6th November Handicap
STONE CIRCLE has C&D winning form and came close to winning off this mark when runner-up at Leicester last month. He has a leading chance, as does COLLISION, who finished an unlucky second on handicap debut last time out, and should be suited to the drop-in trip. SOUND REASON can do the best of the rest.
Tips: STONE CIRCLE, COLLUSION & SOUND REASON
