SOUL DANCE shaped accordingly when third over C&D last time out and has leading claims on handicap debut with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle. BINTSHUAA is the obvious danger having finished third on handicap debut last time out and must be considered in the hands of Rossa Ryan. They earn the vote ahead of recent Wolverhampton winner, Dream Illusion.

I’m really liking the chances of BOYFRIEND, who ran a huge race behind a race-fit and progressive type on his return at Newbury when runner-up. His mark has only been raised 3lb as a result and he was desperately unlucky at Goodwood on his penultimate start. Thyer only found one too good over C&D last time out but I fancy Richard Hannon’s charge to have his measure.

RIDE THE THUNDER has only found one too good on each of his three starts and was just edged out by a subsequent Listed winner on the latest of them efforts. He sets a tall standard and has an excellent chance to open his account, while debutant MUKHTALIF  is nominated as the back-up option should the market leader underperform (rare case).
