NFL Betting Tips: Cowboys should tame Lions on Sunday

We asked NFL expert NFLGirlUK to have a crack at this weekend’s Rollover £182,000+ Pick 7 and she hasn’t let us down. She’s delivered her insight into each of the seven featured matches and strongly fancies the Cowboys to pile agony on the Lions. If you agree with her NFL Betting tips then join her Syndicate.

NFL Betting Tips

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts

Jacoby Brissett’s health will be a major factor in the outcome of this game. If he plays the Colts are the probably winners, if Brian Hoyer starts then the Jags become huge favourites.

The Jaguars were poor in London and will hope the return of Nick Foles to the lineup will be the catalyst to push them into the wide open playoffs in the AFC. The Jaguars are in the top half of NFL teams, 14th in DVOA with all departments of the team no worse than 14th.

If Foles can make a few things happen the Jaguars could make a run here. The Colts will probably need their top ten defence to keep them in the game, especially if Brissett can’t go. Because of Jacoby’s unknown status it’s safe to go either way here.

Jacksonville Jaguars: 1-6

Indianapolis Colts: 1-6

Dallas Cowboys @ Detroit Lions

Battle of the blue and silver. Dallas were unlucky to lose on Sunday in a game between heavyweights and the Lions don’t look like they’ll prove as much of a challenge.

Without Matt Stafford this team is in trouble, with a bad defence and backup quarterback not able to paper over their many cracks.

Dad Prescott is playing as well as any quarterback at the moment and Amari Cooper is almost unstoppable. There’s only going to be one result in this game.

Dallas Cowboys: 13-18, 19-24

New York Jets @ Washington Redskins

Two teams destined to feature at the top end of the draft in 2020. Can the Jets push on after their win last weekend? How will Washington go after their bye, with an extra week for Dwayne Haskins to get comfortable? He was tentative against the Bills and will need to show more this week against a decent New York defence.

Washington are pretty bad across the board, the Jets have the worst offence in the NFL according to DVOA, a good defence and elite special teams. Will that be enough to secure their third win of the season? It should, especially as the Jets are a good run stuffing team and that’s how Bill Callaghan wants to attack. Gang Green should edge this.

New York Jets: 1-6, 7-12

Cincinnati Bengals @ Oakland Raiders

Cincinnati are the worst team in the NFL and have a horrid defence. The Raiders are a team on the rise and have a fun offence with weapons emerging and Jon Gruden enjoying himself.

This isn’t anything other than a big win in front of The Black Hole.

Oakland Raiders: 13-18, 19-24

New England Patriots @ Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl 39 and 52 repeat. New England will be looking to get back to winning ways and Belichick rarely loses two in a row, plus he’s coming off of a bye.

This is the stretch where the Pats defence will start getting tested, although this week will be significantly different to Baltimore. If the Patriots defence really is that good they’ll cause the Eagles a lot of problems in this game.

The other side of the ball may cause New England some more concern. Philly have a defence that plays tough even when dealing with injuries. The Patriots really need to be finding some more consistency with their run game and other receivers not named Edelman.

It’s also odd seeing New England with average Special Teams and a lack of confidence in their kicker. This’ll be a close, perhaps low scoring, game that probably goes New England’s way.

Philadelphia Eagles: 1-6

New England Patriots: 1-6, 7-12

Chicago Bears @ LA Rams

One of the games of the season last year when the Bears defence shut down the previously unstoppable Rams. It’s a Sunday night match up again this weekend but both teams have struggles 11 months on, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.

In some ways Goff and the Rams offence have never looked the same since that Bears defeat in week 14 2018. Their run game has struggled all season and Goff isn’t at the level that it can all be put on his shoulders.

The Bears defence has regressed a bit to the normal, now good not great, as they really miss Akiem Hicks. Mitch Trubisky isn’t showing the development signs the Bears fans would have hoped for either. Could go either way this.

LA Rams: 7-12

Bears: 1-6, 7-12

Kansas City Chiefs @ LA Chargers

Mexico City. Likely to be a closer game than it looked at the start of the year.

The Chiefs’ speed on offence is something we may never have seen before in the league. The Chargers rank 26th on DVOA defence, which is worse than you may suspect, so that looms large when facing Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid.

How will the ageing Philip Rivers cope at altitude? Can Kansas City’s defence return to the form it showed when Mahomes was out injured? Lots of questions but you can’t help siding with the likelihood of the Chiefs winning this one.

They have to fend off the Raiders coming up in their slipstream in the AFC West.

Kansas City Chiefs: 13-18
