11.15 – Betfred ‘Double Delight’ British EBF Novice Stakes – 7f
ZOUM ZOUM finished with a flourish to easily beat a pair of better-fancied rivals at Kempton and, with improvement to come, Ralph Beckett’s charge could maintain his unbeaten record on turf debut. Of the others, INDIVIDUALISM has placed in all three outings to date and should again make a bold bid, while debutant KIKKULI, a song of Kingman, appeals as the type to be quite useful.

11.45 – Betfred ‘Double Delight’ British EBF Novice Stakes – 7f
Not an easy race to solve with minimal form to go on but HUTCHENCE is very well-bred being a son of Frankel and could be another winner on the card for Ralph Beckett. STRONG OPINION shaped nicely when fourth on debut and could be a strong proposition with that experience under his belt. I’ll chance my arm with these two against the field.

12.15 – Prestige Vehicles Handicap – 5f
ANTIPHON has a great record when rain is about and his last win came off this exact mark under similar conditions. He must be respected with plenty in his favour, while MAXZENO is lurking on a dangerous mark and has hit the frame twice on testing ground. He is 4Ib lower than when second in a tougher race than this at Nottingham, so he has strong claims here.

12.50 – Irish EBF ‘Bosra Sham’ Fillies’ Stakes (Listed) – 6f
KOMAT was majorly disappointing at Doncaster last time but does retain potential and the form of his two good efforts in defeat in Group 3 company, including at Royal Ascot, read very well in this race. He can make a serious impact this time, while STOP THE CAVALRY impressed under similar conditions on debut at Haydock and must be respected now upped in class.

13.25 – Betfred St Simon Stakes (Group 3) – 1m4f
HAMISH has his favoured conditions and is unbeaten in three starts this year, which have all come at this level, plus he has an excellent record on testing ground. He is the class act in the field and can add another high-profile success to his CV. MAX VEGA can give him most to think about, who beat the former in October last year on testing ground at this level at Newbury and cannot be ruled out.

14.00 – Betfred ‘Hat Trick Heaven’ Handicap – 1m2f
TOSHIZOU has knocked on the door several times for this stable without success but must have a good chance of getting that first win for connections having gone close last time at York when second. He should be firmly in the mix. FIRST OFFICER won over course and distance last time and has yet to finish out of the frame on deep ground. He is 14Ib lower than when fourth in last year’s November Handicap, so is a major player on these terms.
