AL AASY goes well fresh, and this four-time Group 3 winner, who won this race twelve months ago, must be respected.
However, Jim Crowley prefers ALYANAABI, who drops down in grade after contesting the 2000 Guineas and St James’s Palace.
He could be tough to beat over this longer trip, while SONS AND LOVERS can be included as cover.
Tips: Al Aasy, Alyanaabi, Sons And Lovers
14.25 Mettal UK Handicap
NAQEEB can be excused for his latest run in the Copper Horse at Royal Ascot, where he failed to get a clear run multiple times and would have finished in the frame otherwise.
He is the class act in the field, and a reproduction of his third in the Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket in May would suffice. MASTER MILLINER, PRYDWEN and KYLE OF LOCHALSH make the shortlist.
Tips: Naqeeb, Prydwen, Master Milliner, Kyle Of Lochalsh
15.00 Fidelity Energy Hackwood Stakes (Group 3)
REGIONAL is the only Group 1 winner in the field and turned in an excellent effort when finishing second in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot last time out.
He should be hard to beat, but Commonwealth Cup runner-up LAKE FOREST is probably his biggest danger. He has more to come and should be suited to the course.
Tips: Regional, Lake Forest
15.35 Weatherbys Super Sprint Stakes
An impressive winner on debut at Chepstow, VINGEGAARD shaped very well when fifth of 27 to Ain’t Nobody in Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot and should go well for a stable that won this race two years ago.
Karl Burke has a good record in this race, so his representative, KAADI, cannot be ruled out.
Impressive Kempton debutant winner TIME FOR SANDALS is another one to note. She could be very smart and will be making her turf debut for connections who finished third in this race last year.
Tips: Vingegaard, Kaadi, Time For Sandals
16.10 Take A Lucky Dip At BetVictor EBF Novice Stakes
BRAVE MISSION is related to several winners and could be ready to make an impact. THE WACO KID finished fourth in a similar event over C&D earlier this month and could be hard to beat.
YAFAARR and ELYAM could turn out to be above-average, though, based on their pedigree and can be added to the shortlist.
Tips: Brave Mission, The Waco Kid, Yafaarr, Elyam
16.45 Darley EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes
MALLAVELLY has shown enough after five starts to suggest she can win a race like this. She has been keeping quite useful company and should be suited to the return to this trip.
With her stable in good form, she is expected to be in the thick of the action at the business end of the race.
Tips: Mallavelly
