Naas Win 6 preview | 25th February
13.25 – Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 3)
WODHOOH extended her unbeaten record to five when scoring at listed level at Doncaster and should be difficult to beat with plenty of improvement to come. BOTTLER’SECRET won two of his three starts on the flat, including on heavy ground, and could give the favourite the most to think about.
Tips: WODHOOH, BOTTLER’SECRET
13.55 – Naas Racecourse Business Club Maiden Hurdle
SHOOT THE BLUES beat a subsequent winner on his stable/rules debut at Limerick before shaping with promise when second on his hurdles debut at Fairyhouse. He could be hard to beat, while TOUNSIVATOR and DIAMOND NORA are others to consider.
Tips: SHOOT THE BLUES, TOUNSIVATOR, DIAMOND NORA
14.25 – Nas Na Riogh Novice Handicap Chase (Listed)
SLIP OF THE TONGUE was well beaten over C&D last time out, but the fitting of cheekpieces could bring about improvement, and he goes well under these conditions. SHANTREUSSE will appreciate the drop-in trip and class, while BATTLE IT OUT ran quite well when fourth at Fairyhouse last time out and could get into the mix. The in-form EVIES VLADIMIR can also make an impact.
Tips: SLIP OF THE TONGUE, SHANTREUSSE, BATTLE IT OUT, EVIES VLADIMIR
14.55 – Newlands Chase (Grade 3)
FERNY HOLLOW has not been seen for well over two years, but this dual Grade 1 winner should be extremely hard to beat, even being up against the race-fit Ash Tree Meadow. The nine-year-old can hopefully make up for lost time, though REBEL GOLD won this last year and will like the ground, so he’s one to consider at a large price.
Tips: FERNY HOLLOW, REBEL GOLD
15.25 – Get Best Odds Guaranteed At BetVictor Handicap Hurdle
ZOFFANIEN caught the eye when third at Thurles last time out and could be seriously competitive if he’s able to take a step forward from that performance. HEY JOHNNY is down in grade, and the last time he ran here, he finished third off a 4Ib higher mark. I’ll also include MAIDENSTREETPRINCE,
Tips: ZOFFANIEN, HEY JOHNNY, MAIDENSTREETPRINCE
15.55 – Pertemps Network Group Handicap Hurdle (Qualifier)
CATO’S REVENGE backed up his handicap hurdle debut win with a third-place effort at Cork and could go well. NOBLE BIRTH shaped with a lot of promise in a hot Cheltenham handicap in his penultimate start and could get involved, while DESERTMORE HOUSE is another to consider. This Grade 2-winning chaser looks well treated back over hurdles.
Tips: CATO’S REVENGE, NOBLE BIRTH, DESERTMORE HOUSE
