Ludlow Place 6 preview | 21st March

14:35 Balfours LLP And Lycetts Insurance Novices’ Hurdle

This should develop into a battle between Go To War and COURT IN THE ACT. The former opened his account over timber in a C&D race in December and should have more to come following wind surgery.

However, preference is for Harry Dedham’s charge, who beat a pair of subsequent winners last time out, and he might be able to dictate the pace from the front. With more to offer, he’s a major contender.

Tips: COURT IN THE ACT

15:05 Omnia Art And EFG Harris Allday Novices’ Handicap Chase

MALAITA won back-to-back races over hurdles last season and has subsequently held her form very well over fences, in which she has finished runner-up three times in five starts. Being in receipt of weight from the remainder, she could get her head in front.

KINGS KEEPER has been well held in all three subsequent starts in this sphere, but he’s dangerously well handicapped on the pick of his hurdles form, so it would be folly to disregard his chances.

Tips: MALAITA, KINGS KEEPER

15:35 Full Circle Series At Punchestown Festival Handicap Hurdle

Tom Lacey’s IMMORTAL FLAME has been in great form recently by winning his last couple of starts, including when scoring in a deeper race last time out, and he should be hard to beat back down in grade.

His main danger might turn out to be CAPE VIDAL, who made a successful return at Fontwell and will make his handicap debut off a lenient mark of 113. He is feared most, with more to offer.

Tips: IMMORTAL FLAME, CAPE VIDAL

16:10 Bromfield Sand And Gravel Handicap Chase

ONE TRUE KING should be in the firing line after only finding one too good over C&D the last two times. It’s highly possible he’ll be ridden positively back over this shorter distance, and that could see him go one place better.

The likes of MOONLIGHTER and NOT AVAILABLE are very well treated at present, so although they haven’t been at their best in recent starts, they have the class to figure.

Tips: ONE TRUE KING, MOONLIGHTER, NOT AVAILABLE

16:45 Mark Wiggin Estate Agents Mares’ Handicap Hurdle

QUESHI BRIDGE has improved with each start over hurdles and finished runner-up on her stable debut at this course last month. That form has worked out strongly with the first and third winning since, and she should be good enough to get off the mark on her handicap debut.

Tips: QUESHI BRIDGE

17:20 Samco And PRB Horseboxes Open Hunters’ Chase

BEFORE MIDNIGHT has often been competing in much stronger company over the years, and despite running poorly last time out, he should be able to make a serious impact against these.

ESPOIR DE GUYE is a very capable chaser at his best, and he benefited from the return to positive tactics when he returned to winning ways at Wincanton when last spotted. He has an excellent chance.

Tips: BEFORE MIDNIGHT, ESPOIR DE GUYE
