Ludlow Place 6 betting preview | October 20th

14.20 – Racing To School Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase – 2m4f

GOUET DE BRUYERES was second in this twelve months ago and got back to winning ways impressively last time. The six-year-old has an excellent chance of going one better this time round. Of the other two, I think FAMILY POT will be the biggest danger, who is much better in this sphere and is lurking on a dangerous mark and has a chance on his return to action.

Selections: GOUET DES BRUYERES, FAMILY POT

14.55 – Tom Calvert Wine Novices’ Hurdle (GBB Race) – 1m7f

KINGSTON SUNFLOWER opened her account in great style last week, winning by twenty lengths, and is likely to try and boss this field from the front. Today’s conditions, at this course, should massively play to her strengths and she is the one to beat with Jack Hogan offsetting his seven pound claim again too.

Selections: KINGSTON SUNFLOWER

15.30 – Vince Burmingham 65 Not Out Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle (GBB Race) – 2m5f

I SPY A DIVA has finished second in three of her five starts over hurdles and given her trainer is in reasonable form of late, there’s no reason why this mare cannot go close to winning a race of this nature. She should benefit from the wind surgery and can therefore get off the mark over hurdles.

Selections: I SPY A DIVA

16.05 – HR Smith Group Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase – 1m7f

MINELLA PLUS looked good on his chase debut three weeks ago, winning by eight lengths, and could follow-up here with more to come. I fear MORTLACH though, who’s won six times this year and remains of interest back over the larger obstacles. He should give the former lots to think about.

Selections: MINELLA PLUS, MORTLACH

16.40 – KLF Insurance Brokers Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

METHOD MADNESS didn’t shape badly on his chase debut here when last spotted and has C&D winning form too. He goes well fresh and returns to the smaller obstacles off an attractive mark, so he gets quite a confident vote to capitalise on this excellent opportunity here.

Selections: METHOD MADNESS

17.15 – EPS Limited Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m7f

A tricky race in which a case can be made for all four runners. However, FINE BY ME ran a very good race when second at Perth last time under an attacking ride and, with lots more to come off only a three pounds higher mark, he could easily go one better under suitable conditions.

Selections: FINE BY ME
