Ludlow Place 6 betting preview | November 3rd

13.30 – Join Hot To Trot Racing Mares’ ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle – 1m7f

POETIC MUSIC won her first three bumper starts under different conditions, which ranged from good, good to soft and soft and caught the eye when sixth in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival on heavy ground. She clearly has a lot of ability and was easily the best of these in bumpers. Her trainer is in really good form and she has the potential to be an even better hurdler, so it’ll take a good performance from the likes of Dollar Bae and Dancingontheedge to lower her colours here.

Selections: POETIC MUSIC

14.05 – Fonzies Fringe Juvenile Hurdle – 1m7f

BORNTOBEALEADER was expected to make a winning hurdles debut when sent off odds-on favourite last time but was ultimately beaten a long way into third. However, the form has worked out well since and he should have learnt a lot from that experience too. His trainer is ticking along nicely and he’s surely capable of better than last time, so he’s worth another chance in this winnable event.

Selections: BORNTOBEALEADER

14.40 – Vera Davies Memorial Novices’ Handicap Chase – 1m7f

A lot of these have questions to answer with the exception of BRAVEHEART, who took his form to another level when getting off the mark at Exeter last month. He won very easily by nine lengths that day, so an eight pound rise for that decisive victory shouldn’t prove to be a problem here. Sam Twiston-Davies has been booked to ride, which is good, and his mount has excellent claims of following-up here.

Selections: BRAVEHEART

15.14 – Plymouth Food Festival Introductory Hurdle (GBB Race) – 2m5f

ITSO FURY made the frame in four consecutive bumpers before making a successful hurdles debut in great style at Warwick. I always find a horse who wins at Warwick specifically on hurdles debut, tends to go onto bigger and better things and this promising five-year-old is the one to beat here. IDEALES VILLERETS has shown fair form in both bumpers to date and ran well behind subsequent Champion Bumper fourth Poetic Music (goes in the first race) when fourth last time. He cannot be discounted here.

Selections: ITSO FURY, IDEALDES VILLERETS

15.49 – November Handicap Chase – 3m1f

GALOP DU BOSC could hardly have been more impressive on stable debut last month for Tim Vaughan, winning by twenty lengths. He’s seven-pounds higher in a much deeper race but it would come as a surprise if he couldn’t surpass this mark and I like the way he picked up once Alan Johns pressed the accelerator. He should make another bold effort here.

Selections: GALOP DU BOSC

16.19 – Michael Oliver Memorial Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m5f

LOCK’S CORNER isn’t consistent but he’s very well-treated back over hurdles and a reproduction of his close-up second on his penultimate start would see him competitive here. ROCK LEGEND has performed with credit in both his starts this year and has a fair chance off this low mark in this wide-open contest.

Selections: LOCK’S CORNER, ROCK LEGEND
