13.05 – Newlands Developments Mares’ Novices’ Handicap Chase
PRESENTING A QUEEN won a pair of bumpers and a novice hurdle in her first three starts and has since made the frame in three subsequent starts over fences. She would have won at Hereford last time without hanging left on the run-in when in the clear, so the top-weight is fancied to make amends in this much easier contest.

13.40 – Mulberry Developments Novices’ Handicap Hurdle
This is competitive, but QUIAN, who showcased smart flat form in France, opened his account in good style last time out at Taunton. The form isn’t strong, but he remains well treated from only a 5Ib higher mark and should be thereabouts. NORDIC TIGER has escaped a penalty for his easy win at Wincanton last week and must be respected.

14.15 – Winvic Construction Handicap Chase
IT’S EASY has yet to translate her French form to the UK, but she has offered promise in a couple of her starts for these connections, and she will appreciate the ease in grade. I’ll also add GENEROUS DAY, who is 4Ib below his last winning mark and is also eased in class. He must have excellent claims.

14.50 – M1 Agency Sidney Banks Memorial Novices’ Hurdle (Listed)
JANGO BAIE battled to success in the Grade 1 Formby Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree last time out to retain his unbeaten record and is the one to beat on that form. DIAMOND RI has looked like a nice prospect after winning two of his three starts, while the other unbeaten pair of HANDSTANDS and BUGISE SEAGULL make this an intriguing contest. Any of the four can win, so they are all included.

15.25 – Urban Logistics Reit Handicap Hurdle
URBAN SOLDIER made a positive start for this stable when third at Doncaster and must have a good chance with more to come. BARRICANE cashed in on a reduced mark in December, and although he wasn’t so good over fences last time, he could fare better back over hurdles.

16.00 – Oxenwood Real Estate Handicap Hurdle
CROSSBEAU was set to score easily at Chepstow last time before unseating his rider at the last hurdle, and compensation could await him here. LIFETIME LEGEND ran well when last seen at this course from a higher mark and is well handicapped. He is another to consider.
