Huntingdon Place 6 preview | 11th May

13.40 – Racing TV Maiden Hurdle – 2m4f

A DEFINITE GETAWAY ran his best race to date over hurdles when second to a hot favourite last time and a similar showing in this race should see him fill the frame again at the very least. He has an excellent chance, while FINAL ENCORE will find this easier than the race he contested at Cheltenham last time and cannot be dismissed.

Selections: A DEFINITE GETAWAY, FINAL ENCORE

14.15 – Nyman Libson Paul Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

PARC D’ARMOUR ran well behind Rare Middleton at Taunton and matched that form when second on handicap debut at Warwick next time. He remains on the same mark here, so he must have an excellent opportunity in this race. I HOPE STAR also looks well-treated though on the pick of his form and should also be competitive, especially if able to reproduce his second to Teddy Blue.

Selections: PARC D’ARMOUR, I HOPE STAR

14.50 – Bet At racingtv.com Handicap Chase – 2m

SOMEKINDOFSTAR shaped well after a break when fourth at Warwick and went close on his previous C&D start when second from a pound lower mark. He should be ready to go close, as should ELIOS D’OR, who has been in good form for a while now and has done well over hurdles both times this year. He is on the same mark as when second at Worcester in a warmer race.

Selections: SOMEKINDOFSTAR, ELIOS D’OR

15.25 – Every Race Live On Racing TV Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 3m1f

DIV INE TARA placed twice in bumpers and although she has yet to fulfil her potential in this sphere so far, she should appreciate the step up in trip in what is a weak race for the class. BEAN NORTY has been held in all three starts to date but starts out in handicaps from a fair mark and is dropped in grade, so she is another who could improve and make the frame.

Selections: DIV INE TARA, BEAN NORTY

16.00 – Nigel Hellewell Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f

SWAPPED was a decent bumper horse and did display signs of promise in a trio of novice hurdles last season. He goes handicapping from a fair opening mark on the back of wind surgery and is of some interest. GREAT OCEAN has continued to acquit himself well in defeat and gets the services of Harry Cobden today. He shouldn’t be far away in a tricky contest.

Selections: SWAPPED, GREAT OCEAN

16.30 – Nyman Libson Paul Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m7f

DORADO DOLLAR ran well from out of the weights to finish a staying-on second at Warwick two weeks ago and has claims if able to back that up here. That is far from guaranteed but he is worth the chance. DOYENS DE ANTE was due to run yesterday but connections clearly feel this race will suit better so his participation is noteworthy.

Selections: DORADO DOLLAR, DOYENS DE ANTE
