Hexham Place 6 Preview | 20th May
17.58 – Tynedale Agricultural Society Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle
C&D winner RUMBLE B has posted five placed efforts so far this year, proving that age is just a number, and the 11-year-old should go well in this evening’s opener.
Tips: RUMBLE B
18.28 – Port Of Blyth Handicap Chase
WILLIESHAKEHANDS jumped with serious conviction when scoring over C&D on his chase debut last time out and a 5lb rise shouldn’t be enough to prevent another success. He was only idling late on, as he picked up again once challenged, and has more to come.
Tips: WILLIESHAKEHANDS
18.58 – Port Of Blyth Novices’ Handicap Chase
AM STILL HERE has only found one too good on both his last couple of course starts including over track and trip on his chase debut earlier this month. Only beaten half-a-length that day, Nickt Richards must have every chance of going one place better off only a 2lb higher mark.
Tips: AM STILL HERE
19.28 – Lynn Siddall Memorial Handicap Chase
KICKAFTERSIX is on a roll of late and has won his last two starts over C&D. He’s up another 5lb for the latest of those wins, but being at the peak of his powers, the hat trick looks his for the taking if arriving in similar form.
Tips: KICKAFTERSIX
19.58 – Northumberland County Show Novices’ Hurdle
This looks all about PIKE ROAD, who is a short-priced favourite, but has the experience and form in this sphere and returned a 36-length winner here last time out. The drop in trip will be no bother, so the six-year-old should prove hard to keep out of the frame.
Tips: PIKE ROAD
20.28 – Port Of Blyth Handicap Hurdle
WELL EDUCATED is only 2lb higher than when he won this race twelve months ago. Since that success, he’s posted some good efforts in defeat off higher marks, and none of his three rivals inspire much confidence. The nine-year-old is fancied to strike again.
Tips: WELL EDUCATED
