Hereford Place 6 preview | 24th October

14.10 – Vickers.Bet EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle – 2m

Alan King’s FAVOUR AND FORTUNE will make his eagerly-awaited hurdles debut and is taken to come out on top in the opener. He won his first two bumper starts and ran well to finish midfield in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival. He is Alan’s only runner on the card and can prove himself to be in a different parish to All The Glory and the remainder.

Tips: FAVOUR AND FORTUNE

14.40 – Paul Ferguson’s Jumpers To Follow Junior ‘National Hunt’ Hurdle – 2m

BILLYTHEREALBIGRED didn’t make a great shape of his hurdles on hurdles debut at Stratford but still ran well in second and should improve here. GREAT VALLEY and FRANCINO are interesting newcomers so are included, as is SUMMER NIGHT CITY who is a lot better than when a distant third on debut at Stratford.

Tips: BILLYTHEREALBIGRED, GREAT VALLEY, SUMMER NIGHT CITY, FRANCINA

15.10 – Download The Vickers.Bet App Handicap Chase – 3m1f

BALLINOULART has finished third in both chase starts to date and might have found a good opportunity to take another step forward in this open race. YOUNG WOLF is only a pound above his last win, while BRAGANZA BAY won over course-and-distance last year and is feared. I will also shortlist TOMMYDAN, who isn’t badly treated and might be able to make a bold bid.

Tips: BALLINOULART, YOUNG WOLF, BRAGANZA BAY, TOMMYDAN

15.40 – Go Racing With Vickers.Bet Racing Club Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m5f

STATE OF HONOR has not been seen since she fell at the last hurdle earlier this year when she looked set to bolt up. She has been given plenty of time to recover and a five pound rise seems lenient. She is strongly fancied to make amends having been freshened up since that tumble. Mathematically, she should be favourite.

Tips: STATE OF HONOR

16.10 – Best Prices Guaranteed Daily At Vickers.Bet Mares’ Handicap Chase – 3m1f

BARELY FAMOUS gets into this race off a tiny weight and her last visit here resulted in a success from a 16 pounds higher mark. She is an outsider that is worth close consideration, while KESTREL VALLEY absolutely destroyed her rivals by 34 lengths last time over course-and-distance and could complete her hat-trick.

Tips: BARELY FAMOUS, KESTREL VALLEY

16.40 – Vickers.Bet Weekly Free Bet Club Handicap Hurdle – 2m

GERARD MENTOR was only beaten a head at Exeter last time and a four pound rise shouldn’t prevent another bold bid as she won by 18 lengths from only a pound lower mark at Ludlow last year. She has standout claims, while NOBLE SAVAGE went close off this mark at Wincanton earlier in the year and would have a place chance with a repeat performance.

Tips: GERARD MENTOR, NOBLE SAVAGE
