Ffos Las Place 6 preview | 9th May

14.00 – Cazoo Novices’ Hurdle – 2m4f

Emma Lavelle has her team in good form and MANORBANK should prove hard to beat. He beat a subsequent winner by 22 lengths at Chepstow last-time-out and is the most likeliest winner as The Same needs to improve on the figures to trouble the favourite.

Selections: MANORBANK

14.30 – dragonbet.co.uk New Online Bookmaker Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

PROPER TWELVE ran a lovely race when half-a-length second at Plumpton last time and is only 3Ib higher in this race, so he should be on the premises. FANFARON DINO is lightly-raced for his age and has been freshened up since he was last seen in January, so the eight-year-old could have the improvement in him to defy this mark.

Selections: PROPER TWELVE, FANFARON DINO

15.00 – dragonbet.co.uk New Online Bookmaker Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

BOBALOT showed up well for a long way when fourth first-time cheekpieces 11 days ago and the drop in trip should suit better based on that evidence. He can go well, as can handicap debutant NEW BEGINNINGS, who drops in grade from a dangerous-looking mark and could be about to run a big race.

Selections: BOBALOT, NEW BEGINNINGS

15.35 – 3As Leisure Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m5f

GREAT SNOW has been in excellent form this year and has now won once and placed four times from five starts over hurdles. She ran well to finish third in a Listed race two starts ago before finishing second in a class two at Ayr last time. From the same mark, this progressive mare has to make the shortlist.

Selections: GREAT SNOW

16.10 – DragonBet The Bookmaker Of Wales Mares’ Handicap Chase – 2m7f

POLICE ACADEMY has knocked on the door in both starts in this sphere, finishing second in each, and is open to further improvement. She ought to go well again, while DICEY REILLY opened her account at this course last time and shouldn’t be fazed by the longer trip. She has leading claims again for the Bowen’s.

Selections: POLICE ACADEMY, DICEY REILLY

16.45 – 3A’s Leisure Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m7f

HUNGRY HILL ran his best race in this sphere when a half-a-length second over C&D back in March and is only 3Ib higher here. He is clearly a work in progress with his best days ahead of him, so he must hold every chance in a race that is lacking strength in depth.

Selections: HUNGRY HILL
