He’ll be suited to the better conditions in this race, so he is definitely worth inclusion, while DOYEN STAR travelled powerfully en route to scoring over C&D on his debut and while that form hasn’t worked out well, he is of interest.

LIMETREE BOY shaped with a lot of promise when third on his chase debut and is eligible to compete in this race off the same mark. He should give another good account of himself with that experience under his belt, while the consistent SKINFLINT has yet to finish out of the frame in all starts over fences and gets into this race off bottom-weight. He should be thereabouts.

HEEZER GEEZER won his only start in a bumper and although he only scrambled home at Hereford last time, Dan Skelton’s charge should have more to offer and is the one to beat. WELL DICK only found one too good over C&D on debut and went one better next time. He has more to come and should emerge as the biggest danger to the favourite.

REE OKKA won twice over hurdles last season and should have won at Ludlow last time when beaten only half-a-length. If the first-time cheekpieces perk him up a bit, Harry Fry’s charge is a major player. SUPER SURVIVOR has three wins and two seconds under rules and beat a good horse over C&D last time. He should go close.

FAIRLAWN FLYER has won four of his last five starts and whilst he was fortunate last time, this is a drop in grade and he could continue his progression for this stable. ARRIVEDERCI is eight pounds below his last winning mark, which came over hurdles, and drops in grade off an attractive mark, so he is considered in what is a wide-open contest.

ARE U WISE TO THAT could only finish third when last seen but makes his handicap debut off a fair mark and given how impressive he was on his hurdles debut, he is worth another chance here. KATESON is very well-treated given his last win was off a 19 pounds higher mark and could get back on track in this lower grade race off his reduced mark.
