Guesswork involved in the opener. However, Richard Fahey does well with his newcomers, so BY JOVE GRACE has to be worth a second look, while IN THE BLACK has an excellent pedigree and could have a part to play in the outcome.

Tips: BY JOVE GRACE & IN THE BLACK

It’s hard to see past SILESIA, who has placed on all three starts, displaying progress each time, and should be able to open her account. She has her sights lowered after a third at Beverley and can put her vital experience to good use by getting the job done. Excellent chance.

Tips: SILESIA

Hugo Palmer has enjoyed plenty of success with his juveniles this year, so newcomer MIA FANTASIA must be respected. Meanwhile, MRS HOLE did well to finish as close as she did on debut when fourth, having stumbled early on, so improvement should be forthcoming. I can see her having a big say in the matter.

Tips: MIA FANTASIA & MRS HOLE

15.30 Lady Dacre Bell Handicap

BARLEY has C&D winning form in the book and has gone very close the last two times off his reduced marks to suggest he is going to win sooner rather than later. He is extremely well treated at present (won and placed so many times off higher figures) and is a confident choice to make his case presence felt.

Tips: BARLEY & I CAN DANCE

16.02 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Eternal Stakes (Fillies’ Listed)

ALBAYDAA is a highly-consistent filly and was last seen battling to victory at Carlisle. She is up in class but has more to come and should be involved. JUST A GIRL was only a neck behind the former last time out and has every chance of turning the form around. Two against the field.

Tips: ALBAYDAA & JUST A GIRL

16.35 Stablemate By AGMA Carlisle Bell Handicap

SWIFT SALIEN won back-to-back races around this time last year and despite remaining higher in the handicap than his latest win, he must be thereabouts. FINANCER has placed several times off stiffer figures than when last scoring off a 5lb higher mark and has a really good chance. I can see him winning this event if all goes to plan.

Tips: SWIFT SALIEN & FINANCER
