KORKER was narrowly denied on debut at York in a much stronger race and, unless one of the newcomers are above average, he should be able to go one better. NINKY NONK looks a solid backup option though, who was a good fifth over C&D on debut and should be thereabouts.

VENTURA FLAME has won here previously and was a good second back here 11 days ago. He should be right in the mix given his recent exploits. EY UP ITS MICK remains above his last winning mark but always runs a good race and remains a solid option for place purposes.

HEY MR caught the eye when third on return at York when not given a hard time if things and won’t mind the soft conditions, too. This is much easier than his latest assignment regardless and, with further improvement to come this campaign, this highly-promising sprinter has an excellent chance on today’s terms.

EY UP ITS MAGGIE ran well to finish as close as she did at York when fourth considering her rider was having difficulty steering her properly. She remains on an attractive mark given her earlier success over the 81-rated Blind Beggar and has been found a good opportunity here with conditions up her street.

WALTER has steadily improved and ran well to finish third in a decent event last-time-out albeit beaten around ten-lengths. The assessor hasn’t taken any chances with his mark but he should have more to offer, while PORTH DIANA is another unexposed type with her best days ahead of her.

MISS TRIXIE showed a good attitude to claim second eight days ago and a similar performance here could see her go one better for connections. OTTO OYL was disappointing on handicap debut when strongly supported in the market and should perform better here.
