Bangor Place 6 preview | 28th February

14.20 – John Hewitt Memorial Novices’ Handicap Chase

THATZA DAZZLER absolutely bolted up at Ludlow on his second go in this sphere, and although it’s hard to be confident that he will be in similar form, he must be shortlisted. YELLOW JACKET chased home a next-time-out winner over C&D in his penultimate start and should be thereabouts.

Tips: THATZA DAZZLER, YELLOW JACKET, STAAR

14.50 – DragonBet Born From The Betting Ring Handicap Chase

BREEZE OF WIND completed his hat-trick over fences when returning a smooth winner at Carlisle last month. He could win again with more to come, fitter in a first-time tongue tie. KING OF BRAZIL and DOMANDLOUIS have the form to play a leading role and are greatly feared.

Tips: BREEZE OF WIND, DOMANDLOUIS, KING OF BRAZIL

15.20 – Broughton Hall Estates North Wales National Handicap Chase

MARIO DE PAIL hasn’t fired in two starts this year, but the nine-year-old is dangerously well treated and could pop up at a price. HAUTE ESTIME has undergone wind surgery since she was last seen, so she’s another to note, while NOTACHANCE has stamina in abundance, will love conditions, and cannot be ruled out.

Tips: MARIO DE PAIL, HAUTE ESTIME, NOTACHANCE

15.50 – Camden Stout Mares’ Maiden Hurdle

PITWOOD ROAD built on the promise of her bumper debut effort when scoring impressively at Ayr just over two weeks ago. It is appealing to see that her connections have retained Brian Hughes, so she should be hard to beat despite conceding hurdle experience to Strong Belle.

Tips: PITWOOD ROAD

16.20 – Ruabon Novices’ Hurdle

GUARD THE MOON won back-to-back bumpers here in December prior to shaping very well when third on his hurdles debut at Chepstow. He is sure to improve and is impossible to oppose in a race that should be his for the taking.

Tips: GUARD THE MOON

16.50 – Bangor-On-Dee Handicap Hurdle

CATCH HIM DERRY pulled clear with a next-time-out winner when successful on his handicap debut at Southwell last month and should be hard to beat in spite of a 6Ib rise in the handicap. He is also the choice of Harry Skelton.

Tips: CATCH HIM DERRY
