14.10 Ascot Racecourse Supports Achieving For Children Handicap Chase

Gary Moore’s INVINCIBLE NAO has been well-suited by a change to front-running tactics in his last couple of starts. After returning a wide-margin winner at Fakenham in his penultimate outing, he went close when he finished a half-length second in a much hotter race than this at Sandown last time out. This six-year-old must have a great chance in this easier race.

14.45 Events At Ascot Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

HAMSIYANN won twice on the level, and although he was down the field in his first two starts over hurdles, he significantly improved to finish second at Ludlow last time out. That form has worked out well, so he’s definitely one to consider in this contest, with more to come.

MARTATOR represents a stable in flying form and is very reliable. He gained reward for his string of consistent efforts in defeat at Newbury and should be able to make another bold bid from a mark that’s still within his compass.

15.55 Ascot Shop Novices’ Handicap Hurdle

MUCH TOO DEAR’s only previous start over this trip proved rather inconclusive, and he should prove to be a different proposition now. His second at Kempton over shorter in May last year is decent form, given that he split two horses rated 121 and 130. Just on that evidence alone, he must be well treated off 107 on his handicap debut.

16.30 Home-Start Bracknell Forest Veterans’ Handicap Chase

TWO FOR GOLD won this last year from a pound higher mark, and the veteran has a great record over fences at this course, which reads 212 from three starts. He should make a bold effort in his defence bid, while BACK ON THE LASH can run well fresh, and this dual cross-country winner at Cheltenham is seven pounds below his last winning mark.
