Aintree Win 6 preview | 14th April

13:45 – Air Charter Service Mildmay Novices’ Chase – 3m

GERRI COLOMBE has already finished in front of Bronn twice and should do so again on a sharp track where his pace and class should see him shine once he gets motoring on the long home-straight after marginally losing his unbeaten record when last seen. He gets a confident vote.

Selections: GERRI COLOMBE

14.20 – William Hill Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

NO ORDINARY JOE travelled well before being caught late on in the Martin Pipe at Aintree and should go well on this easier course. NELLS SON was fourth in a Grade 1 here last year and has sound claims, while MOLLY OLLYS WISHES is well-treated and could cause a surprise at overpriced odds.

Selections: NO ORDINARY JOE, NELLS SON, MOLLY OLLYS WISHES

14.55 – Poundland Top Novices’ Hurdle – 2m

FOUND A FIFTY should be well suited to this course and was narrowly denied by Corbetts Cross last time. He is open to further improvement and should go close. INTHEPOCKET will find this track easier than Cheltenham and he sets the standard on his Supreme fourth.

Selections: FOUND A FIFTY, INTHEPOCKET

15.30 – Marsh Chase – 2m3f

HITMAN has placed in all three previous visits here and ran well to finish third in the Ryanair Chase last time. He could finally get his graded success, meanwhile FRENCH DYNAMITE was only a place behind the former on the Ryanair Chase and will find the drop in distance to his liking. He is the next best. I can’t have the top two in the market.

Selections: HITMAN, FRENCH DYNAMITE

16.05 – Randox Supports Race Against Dementia Topham Handicap Chase – 2m5f

HAUT EN COULEURS has a tough task off top weight but Paul Townend must think he is capable of a bold showing and his class could see him make a serious impact if he puts in a clear round. CIEL DE NEIGE is a really good jumper, who could be a serious player for Willie Mullins as well. AL DANCER won the Grand Sefton last year and has been saved for this race since.

Selections: HAUT EN COULEURS, CIEL DE NEIGE, AL DANCER

16.40 – Winners Wear Cavani Sefton Novices’ Hurdle – 3m

Gordon Elliott has had this race in mind for ABSOLUTE NOTIONS since his second behind Good Land and comes here fresher than the favourite. He has the potential to be really smart as a stayer, so hopefully Davy Russell can guide him into the frame at least. IROKO powered to success in the Martin Pipe at the Cheltenham Festival and Mark Walsh is an interesting jockey booking. He could be a serious force over this longer trip up in grade.

Selections: ABSOLUTE NOTIONS, IROKO
