WEST ACRE hasn’t shown his best in the UK on his last four starts but is a Group 2 winner in Meydan and cannot be written off. Others to consider are COROLLA POINT, Windsor winner TREFOR and TOCA MADERA, who has plenty of course form in the book.

14.25 Tattersalls Acomb Stakes (Group 3)

HAFFNER can take this contest. He won at Newmarket on his penultimate outing before going close in a Group 2 event at Goodwood. He is dropped in grade and surely has so much more to offer, so he’s of firm interest.

15.00 Sky Bet Great Voltigeur Stakes (Group 2)

MALTESE CROSS ran a good race to finish second in the Epsom Derby and overcame traffic issues to land the Grand Prix de Paris last time out, where he was doing all of his best work at the finish. With more to come, he can come out on top.

15.35 Juddmonte International Stakes (Group 1)

OMBUDSMAN is fancied to defend his crown by defeating Constitution River. He was a brilliant winner of the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes last time out and was really impressive when landing this twelve months ago. It won’t be easy for him conceding 7lb to his main market rival but he can make his class count.

16.10 Sky Bet Stayers Handicap (Heritage Handicap)

Jim Goldie’s MOUNTAIN ROAD is a three-time winner over this distance and has been in good form of late, backing up his easy penultimate Thirsk success with a running-on third at Ascot in the Shergar Cup Stayers event. He is a big player, while KIRCHNER and SMALL FRY are others to consider.

16.45 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Handicap (Heritage Handicap)

MANATEE MEHMAS had previously finished a good third over track and trip, where he looked unlucky, as a clear run would have seen him go pretty close and produced another good effort in defeat when fourth at Goodwood. He should be in the mix along with ZAIN PRIMUS and MISS YECHANCE.
