FANTASY FORCE produced a solid debut effort when third at York and that form is expected to work out well. With more to come, don’t be surprised to see him go well. Debutant SOCIAL SYMBOL could have a say given he represents a stable that knows how to ready one.

GONE BY has shown enough in two starts (runner-up on both occasions) to suggest she is going to prove very difficult to beat. If there’s an upset though, perhaps GOLDEN STEP will capitalise despite a distant third at Kempton first-time-out.

19.10 Bishopton Equine Handicap

BARLEY has a bit of finding one too good, including when a short-head last time out, but he has placed so many times in tougher races off higher marks and has leading claims. The other one to note is JESMOND DAWN, who has C&D winning form and could pose a threat.

A lot of these have some sort of a chance. It’s possible KELDEO will be in contention having been solid all year. However, BAY BREEZE is down to a career-low mark and is a former C&D winner. Off a low weight, I can see him going close at this level with a lot going for him.

20.12 Napoleons Casino And Restaurant Leeds Handicap

WEN MOON has a lot of weight on his back but he’s the class horse in the field and is so well handicapped on historical form. He should be thereabouts, while ROCK OF ENGLAND is another that remains well treated on past exploits and should be able to get involved.

20.42 Ripon Theatre Festival 5th – 12th July Handicap

COBALT COMET has gone pretty close on his last couple of starts, and although he encountered soft ground last time, I see no reason why he won’t act on quicker ground. I’ll also include TALKING IN KODE, who ran well when second at Beverley and should have more to offer.
