This is a tight event but preference is for IZZY’S GREY who is well-handicapped on the pick of his earlier form in 2025. His latest third was a bit more encouraging and connections reach for the first-time cheekpieces. If they have a positive effect, then I see no reason why he can’t go well.

15.28 Wrights Centenary Gold Cup Handicap Hurdle

The thriving SERVICE MINIMUM is fancied to complete the hat-trick. He’s really raised his game the last two times and had so much in hand when scoring at Warwick last month. Even though he’s gone up 10lb, the six-year-old can make a bold bid to keep the winning run going.

16.03 Clarke Chase

AMERICAN MIKE might be able to defy top-weight in the feature. He dead-heated at Perth last time out but is only 3lb higher and beat the top-class Fact To File the last time he competed over this distance. With first-time cheekpieces equipped, Olly Murphy’s charge can make it two wins on the bounce.

16.37 Wrights Sausage Roll Sprint Handicap Hurdle

A DIFFERENT KIND ran poorly at Perth last time out but is so well treated on his best form that he is given one more chance. His last win was off a mark of 142, albeit over fences, and he’s down to a mark of 115. In a winnable event, the nine-year-old can hopefully rediscover his best form, which would be enough to come out on top.

17.12 Wrights Always Tasty Classic Handicap Chase

Chase debutant MR GRIFFITHS is interesting having ran well over hurdles last time out. His stable does well at this course and this dual hurdles winner could be well handicapped off 106. None of the others make much appeal if I’m honest, so he can make an impact.
