Lingfield Place 6 Preview | 18th May
14.20 Sporting Times Handicap
KING’S HAND hasn’t been seen on the turf since debut but has been in solid form this year and could pose a threat. OMAN is extremely well-handicapped on historical form and has the ability to make a serious impact, while top-weight PRIMO LARA will appreciate the drop in grade.
Tips: KING’S HAND, OMAN & PRIMO LARA
14.50 Visit Sri Lanka Handicap
BALGOWAN is generally consistent and resumed winning ways here three weeks ago. He’s only been nudged up a couple of pounds and ought to prove hard to beat back on the turf. CHARLES MORIN finished a close-up third here last time out and should be on the premises, along with CHERRY COLA.
Tips: BALGOWAN, CHARLES MORIN & CHERRY COLA
15.20 Sporting Times/Sri Lanka Awaits You EBF Maiden Stakes
NOTABLE DREAM finished strongly from the rear of the field to take third on debut at Doncaster and could easily open his account with more to come over this longer trip. Newcomer ENCOUNTER is interesting under Ryan Moore and must be included.
Tips: NOTABLE DREAM & ENCOUNTER
15.50 Sporting Times/Sri Lanka Novice Stakes
BEHIKE is surely going to take the world of beating in this event. He ran a race full of promise when third on debut to Raaheeb before easily scoring here last month. This Group 1 entrant can continue his rise through the ranks.
Tips: BEHIKE
16.22 Sri Lanka Wonder Of Asia Handicap
NO RETURN has mostly been competing in stronger races than this and is 8lb lower than when second here on the all-weather back in January. Even a repeat showing of that effort would see him involved on the grass.
TWILIGHT JET has won and placed off higher marks in better races in the past, including when third at Kempton in December. He’s now 13lb lower in this much weaker event and this is the easier race he will have ever competed in, so surely he is ready to get back in the winners circle.
Tips: NO RETURN & TWILIGHT JET
16.57 Sporting Times Sprint Handicap
ADALIDA has some decent form in the book, particularly from last year and looks a leading player.
ENTER SANDMAN is likely to go forward given his run-style and came within a whisker of making it three wins on the bounce last time out. If he can reproduce his latest efforts on the turf, then I think he’s going to be difficult to catch. I really like his claims.
Tips: ADALIDA & ENTER SANDMAN
