It will be fascinating to see how OUR GUIDE goes on debut for Jamie Snowden. He easily beat Zeus Power on his only start in Ireland and the latter subsequently placed in a Grade 1 event at the Cheltenham Festival. If he can translate that form to this sphere, then he should be going close in the opener.

YOUDECIDE has shaped well on both outings over fences and could be about to take another step forward in this winnable event. MIXEDWAVE won this race last year off the same mark though and could be set to make a bold bid in a repeat attempt. The nine-year-old has placed on his last couple of starts which is a good sign.

Tips: YOUDECIDE & MIXEDWAVE

Plenty to consider. BRAS D’OR has made the frame on three of his four starts and might have been let in lightly for his handicap debut. Ben Pauling saddles a few, including KING OF THE ROAD and the hat-trick seeking JHENTONG ENKI. Both have a decent chance in what is a wide-open contest.

Tips: BRAS D’OR & KING OF THE ROAD & JHENTONG ENKI

GAELIC RAMBLER is proving consistent and has improved with each start in this sphere. He wouldn’t need to improve much more to have a say in the outcome. SINGAPORE TRIP has no weight on his back and is a course winner in a stronger event off a higher mark. He’s very much one to consider being back at a track that evidently plays to his strengths. He would be my main pick for the event.

Tips: GAELIC RAMBLER & SINGAPORE TRIP

AMERICAN MIKE would eat this alive if he was able to rediscover his best form. This Grade 2-winning chaser has slid a long way in the handicap and enters this grade for the first time in his career. He’s still unexposed in this sphere, so he’s fancied to go well off top-weight. KENT DE THAIX retains potential and is another worth a second look.

Tips: AMERICAN MIKE & KENT DE THAIX

BODYGROOVE could go well at a big price. He won at this course last March off a slightly higher figure, so there’s a chance he could bounce back to form. FARMER JIMMY is also a course winner off a marginal higher mark, and is handicapped to run well, especially with his rider taking off a handy 7lb.

Tips: BODYGROOVE & FARMER JIMMY
