Chepstow Win 6 Preview | 15th March

14.10 Beware The Brides Of March Mares’ Maiden Hurdle

Nicky Henderson’s EREMENKO returned as a heath favourite on hurdles debut but she did shape with some promise and should be able to build on that. Her trainer and rider (James Bowen) have had a very good week, so she can hopefully take the opener.

Tips: EREMENKO

14.45 BBS Memorial Maiden Hurdle

Both rider and the team had a big winner at the Festival in the week and it’s about time ISLAND BRIDGE got off the mark. He’s made the frame on all four starts over timber and has placed behind some good horses the last twice. With more to come, he can put his experience to good use and get the job done.

Tips: ISLAND BRIDGE

15.20 Celebrating Tricia And Pauls Wedding Handicap Chase

CHECK THE SCORE was a good winner on his chase debut at Market Rasen last season and returned from a year off with a respectable second at Southwell over hurdles last month. If he can take a step forward with that run under his belt, I can see him bang in the mix returned to fences. BETTER OFF ALONE could also get involved on just his fifth Chase outing.

Tips: CHECK THE SCORE & BETTER OFF ALONE

15.55 georgebakerracing.com – Have Horse Will Travel Mares’ Handicap Hurdle

SIOG GEAL is marginally preferred to Flying Fortune. She’s largely consistent and finished a solid second at Cheltenham in December. She was far from disgraced when fifth in a warm Listed handicap in Ireland when last seen and can take the drop down in grade in her stride with Fern O’Brien taking off a handy 5lb.

Tips: SIOG GEAL

16.30 Celebrating Helen & Sharons 60th Birthdays Novices’ Handicap Chase

THE WINSLOW BAY powered to victory on his first start at this course over hurdles, beating a horse that is now rated higher than him and shaped well when third here in November over fences. He was disappointing at Hereford when last seen but could bounce back returning to this venue.

Tips: THE WINSLOW BAY

17.05 Sorry Kids – Mums Gone Racing Handicap Chase

RISK DE PLUIE is a solid individual and comprehensively opened his account over C&D three weeks ago and I don’t think a 7lb rise shouldn’t prevent him from going in again. He has so much more to offer and can hopefully double his tally over timber.

Tips: RISK DE PLUIE
