Exeter Place 6 Preview | 6th March

13.40 CRS Building Supplies ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle

The opener can see Harry Fry’s ON THE BAYOU make amends for his shock defeat over C&D when last seen. He’s been given plenty of time to get over that effort and retains potential moving forward. The six-year-old should be able to get on the scoresheet, though Limier D’arthel is feared most.

Tips: ON THE BAYOU

FLASH GORCOMBE scored over C&D last season and has placed in three of his four starts this term. He could pose a threat, while fellow track and trip winner SAINT CYR DE PAIL could get back on track after being found out at a higher level at Wincanton last time out. This is a difficult race to solve but hopefully one of them goes well.

Tips: FLASH GORCOMBE & SAINT CYR DE PAIL

14.40 CRS Building Supplies Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase

Four-time hurdle winner GEORGI GIRL makes plenty of appeal in this contest. She could only finish second at Ludlow last time out but she has plenty of smart form at a higher level Off stiffer marks and finished a good third in a Listed event this time last year over C&D. I think she’s a major player under the bang in-form Ben Jones.

Tips: GEORGI GIRL

15.10 CRS Building Supplies Handicap Hurdle

Plenty in with a chance but FRENCH EMPEROR won a stronger race at Cheltenham last November and is bound to appreciate the drop in class following two placed efforts. I can see him getting involved, while last-time-out winner PHOENIX RISEN looks sure to go well with a repeat performance in spite of a career-high mark.

Tips: FRENCH EMPEROR & PHOENIX RISEN

15.40 Unibet Middle Distance Series Veterans’ Handicap Chase

An extremely competitive race for the older brigade and I like two. The first one is OUTLAW PETER, who won two stronger events around this time last year off marks of 135 and 140 and bolted up on his last visit here. I can see him going well under Freddie Gingell. EMBITTERED has some back class and is by no means out of this despite his advancing years.

Tips: OUTLAW PETER & EMBITTERED

16.10 CRS Building Supplies Novices’ Handicap Hurdle

ON THE GO was making it two wins from his last three starts when defending his unbeaten record at Hereford 12 days ago and could be up to defying his big weight. Handicap debutant MY OWN LOVELY LEE has displayed some promise to date and could go well at bigger odds.

Tips: ON THE GO & MY OWN LOVELY LEE
