SENATOR has placed on all four career starts including the last two times for this yard and appears to have a golden opportunity to finally open his account. His stable is in very good form, so with the experience to draw upon, I think he will prove a tough nut to crack.

This is a quality contest for the grade and I’ll take a chance on CHARISMA CAT. She is a smart mare that won three times in bumpers, including a Listed success and was unlucky not to beat a subsequent Grade 2 winner here the time before that. Having finished second on her first two starts in this sphere, she got off the mark at Chepstow last month, and being open to further progress, she seems good value against the favourite.

There was a lot to like about the way FLORITA won here last time out and could be seen to even better effect over this longer distance. The fact that she won so easily suggests she’s capable of defying this 7lb higher figure, so it would come as somewhat of a surprise if she can’t follow up if in similar form.
Tips: FLORITA

RAILWAY BELL made it three wins from four starts when making it two wins from three in this sphere at Ludlow last month. She clearly improved a bundle from her comeback run at Wincanton when last seen and could yet rank higher. I see no reason why she can’t make a serious impact to enhance her strike rate.

TZARMIX has been in good heart this season, winning on his return before posting two good back-to-back efforts in defeat. He has continued to rise up the handicap but this isn’t a strong event, so he looks poised to be thereabouts once more.

TRAMUNTANA has undoubtedly improved since going handicapping, and despite returning as a beaten favourite last time out, Olly Murphy’s charge should appreciate the drop in class and can make amends in a winnable event off an unchanged mark.
