Wincanton Place 6 Preview | 20th November
12.27 Molson Coors ‘Hands And Heels’ Handicap Hurdle (Conditionals/Amateurs)
PRAIRIE DIAMOND won this race last year in good style, so although he returns from 11 months off the track with a 6lb higher mark to contend with, the six-year-old should make a bold bid. The likes of PATH OF STARS and DANZINI, who both arrive in-form, are others to consider in a competitive opener.
Tips: PRAIRIE DIAMOND, PATH OF STARS & DANZINI
13.00 pricedup.bet Mares’ Maiden Hurdle
The second race on the card can go the way of ST IRENE. This Southwell bumper winner on debut placed in a Listed event at Huntingdon and shaped promisingly when runner-up on her first start over hurdles at Newbury two weeks ago. That was a deep event for the grade, so with more to come dropping down in class, she’s strongly fancied to go one place better.
Tips: ST IRENE
13.35 PricedUp The Jumps Novices’ Handicap Chase
AUTHOCELTIC caught the eye on his return from a long absence when fifth at Worcester before taking a step forward to only be beaten a half-length on chase debut at Newton Abbot. I think he would have won but for a mistake at the final fence and the form has been advertised since with the first and third winning again since.
Tips: AUTHOCELTIC
14.10 PricedUp Daily Racing Boosts Handicap Hurdle
SPUDDLING posted his best effort to date over hurdles when third at Warwick, and with that form working out well, he’s very interesting on handicap debut. MR ZEE will be fit after a pipe-opener on the Flat last month and is handicapped to have a day in the outcome.
Tips: SPUDDLING & MR ZEE
14.45 PricedUp Daily Racing Boosts Handicap Hurdle
A four-time winner on the Flat over the summer, this four-year-old was in the process of running well at Exeter last time out before taking a tumble. Off an unchanged mark, there’s every chance of making amends. BIRTHDAY ANGEL was a good winner three days ago and must have every chance of following up under a penalty
Tips: OFFIAH’S BOY & BIRTHDAY ANGEL
15.20 Dot Tolson Memorial Handicap Chase
PEP TALKING produced a flawless round of jumping when scoring at Wetherby 19 days ago and should take all of the beating off only a 4lb higher figure. MERRY MONTY should be able to take another step forward from his promising reappearance third at Uttoxeter and is feared most.
Tips: PEP TALKING & MERRY MONTY
