Market Rasen Place 6 Preview | 6th July

14.00 Achieving Potential Tom Halliday Memorial Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle

MALANGEN is 10lb lower than when last successful and is turned out quickly following a decent showing at Perth just three days ago. He is undoubtedly well handicapped at present and should be thereabouts if his rider can consume enough of his energy for the finish.

Tips: MALINGER

JACK N JONES made a promising start to her hurdles career when only just failing by a neck against an odds-on favourite at Newton Abbot and any normal improvement should see her go one place better. She earns the vote over Mohawk Chief, who is starting to look exposed.

Tips: JACK N JONES

15.10 Dino Day Charity Umbrellas Handicap Hurdle

The hat trick-seeking GAME BEAAA should prove hard to beat. She’s won her last two starts over C&D including when returning as an emphatic winner in the latest of those wins. The handicapper has applied pressure by putting her mark up by 13lb, but she’s in great form, and has every chance.

Tips: GAME BEAAA

PROSPECT HOUSE has a really good record here, with two wins and three seconds and despite proving no match for Greenrock Abbey last time out, this drop in trip looks much more favourable. He had previously beaten the reopposing Conquer The Breeze and is fancied to confirm his superiority by registering another success.

Tips: PROSPECT HOUSE

16.20 Duckworths Land Rover Dash Handicap Chase

YCCS PORTOCERVO won over C&D off a 4lb higher mark last June and is slowly working his way back to form, running with credit to finish second at Newton Abbot in May. He has become very well handicapped at present, so under a positive ride, I can see him taking a bit of catching back at a course that brings out the best in him.

Tips: YCCS PORTOCERVO

CABE ARTICLE has taken his form to a new level, winning three of his last seven starts and returned as a good winner at Southwell last time out. The handicapper has only put him up 4lb, so given the form he’s in at the moment, Christian Williams’ six-year-old should go well.

Tips: CAVE ARTICLE
