Romford Tips: ChopChop Hope set to roll back the years on Friday night

Colossus Captain and greyhound expert Cheltmental has been sensational form in his recent articles and he’s back again trying to take on the £15,000 Win 8 at Romford. He tells us that Chop Chop Hope is the best bet of his Romford Tips.

Cheltmental: “Back again for this Friday’s Win 8 at Romford and a nice mix of Graded and Open races suggest this is do-able”

18:27 – 400m – A3

The early pace here looks to be coming from traps 1, 2 and 3 but I’d also bring trap 4 in with a chance if the front runners cause each other issues. Trap 2 shouldn’t be quick enough to land this but Trap 5, who usually prefers longer trips, might just get the run of the race.

Selections – 1, 3, 4, 5

18:44 – 400m – A4

Trap 5, WESTLAKE BEN, will be popular once more and he’ll be there or thereabouts. Traps 2 and 3 house puppies but of those I’d think FIREBALL LEE in 2 is the most likely to step forward.

Selections – 2, 5

19:03 – 400m – OR

This doesn’t look the strongest of Maidens so I think we’ll need some luck here but the inside looks to hold the key, as well as the early pace, so I’ll treble up with 1, 2 and 3.

Selections – 1,2,3

19:17 – 575m – OR

Another Maiden open and another race which looks a bit trappy.

Trap 4 probably has a decent draw and could slip the field with one of his better starts but his chance does rely on doing so.

SLIPPY COLM in 3 could take advantage if there is trouble and while EMILYS WISH is well drawn, she’s not certain to stay.

Selections – 3, 4, 6

19:33 – 400m – OR

This looked a good opportunity to stick in a banker with EVOLUTION REBEL in 3 but, with 5 railers in the race, he’s drawn dangerously. I do think he’ll lead though but AAYAMZA DUCHESS could be set for a solo out wide and trialled well recently.

Selections – 3, 6

19:49 – 225m – OR

Far from a vintage sprint but I’ll trust old timer CHOPCHOP HOPE to trap in his usual good fashion and make all on the wide outside.

Selection – 6

20:06 – 400m – OR

SIGNATURE CALLUM would be the most likely winner on the clocks but he’s drawn for trouble and there seems to be loads of early pace. Hard to read this one so I’ll stick with one selection in the hope he gets round the first.

Selection – 5

20:21 – 400m – OR

BUBBLY BUSTER is drawn ideally on the rail and, with a rapid recent trial, he makes the shortlist.

Both 3 and 4 are quick enough to land this but Trap 6 might get a nice pitch out wide so I’m going for the bookends here.

Selections – 1, 6
