13.20 Perrigo Consultant Tax Saving Handicap Chase
YES DAY has generally been competing in much stronger races, including when second at Stratford last time out. He’s now 12lb lower than when last successful and that also came in stronger event. With his sights lowered, the eight-year-old should prove hard to beat.
Tips: YES DAY
13.50 Brookes Wedding Feast & Fair Handicap Chase
KNIGHTSBRIDGE gained a first win of his career when scoring at Warwick last time out and a 5lb rise in the handicap seems fair given how much he had in hand at the finish. Open to further improvement, the six-year-old looks the one to side with.
Tips: KNIGHTSBRIDGE
14.20 Worcestershire Ambassadors Handicap Chase
The nine-year-old NEIGH BOTHA made it three wins on the four starts when easily getting the job done at Warwick last time out. He’s up to a career-high mark of 110, but given the form he’s in, another victory could be imminent.
Tips: NEIGH BOTHA
14.50 Jane Newman Financial Planning Ltd Maiden Hurdle
TROUVILLE achieved a good level of form on the Flat and placed on both outings at Chester last year. I thought he ran a solid race when third on hurdles debut at Worcester, and with that experience to draw upon, a big performance looks firmly on the cards.
Tips: TROUVILLE
15.25 Jane Newman Financial Planning Ltd Maiden Hurdle
The David Pipe-trained PURPLE OWL has placed in three starts over hurdles and turned in a solid effort when runner-up at Worcester. He’s gone up 4lb as a result but even a reproduction of that performance should see him really competitive.
Tips: PURPLE OWL
15.55 Warrens Hall Riding School Champions Handicap Hurdle
PHANTOM GOLD has yet to score in four starts over timber since winning on rules debut, but was last seen finishing a good second at Southwell, and a repeat performance should see him bang in contention. He has an excellent chance.
Tips: PHANTOM GOLD
