Windsor Place 6 Preview | 1st September
16.30 Arc 1 Million Bonus Has 150K Increase! Nursery
FLYING COMET ran a decent race when fifth in France last time out but his previous second to Lifeplan received a huge boost when the winner followed up in a Group 2 event at York. That is the best form on offer, so favourite backers should be able to get off to a good start.
Tips: FLYING COMET
17.00 Hamish Johnson Memorial Fillies’ Novice Stakes
The exciting LODGE made a sparkling debut at Ffos Las, winning with plenty in hand, and although that wasn’t a strong pace, she did what she needed to. She has a lot more to come and Brian Meehan’s filly is fancied to concede weight to her rivals.
Tips: LODGE
17.30 Juddmonte EBF Restricted Novice Stakes
LAVENDER GOLD looked in need of the experience on debut at York, but he shaped promisingly late on, staying on well to finish seventh of 16 under tentative handling. With that run under his belt, David Menuisier’s charge should prove to be more streetwise and can open his account.
Tips: LAVENDER GOLD
18.00 Windsor Oktoberfest Handicap
YORKSHIRE LADY seems massively overpriced in this event. She is 3-3 in the month of September and is only a pound higher than when last successful. She could easily outrun her odds, while LIKEALOT has produced two good placed efforts in handicap company and should feature in the outcome.
Tips: YORKSHIRE LADY & LIKEALOT
18.30 Bugler Group Handicap
MEDINILLA has already won twice and has since remained consistent in defeat. She once again has place claims, but THINK OF A NAME is down in trip and grade. His form figures under Oisin Murphy reads a win and two placed efforts from three starts, so he’s another to consider.
Tips: MEDINILLA & THINK OF A NAME
19.00 Windsor Fireworks Night Handicap
This looks a difficult race to get to grips with, but ZOLDER has gradually improved with each start and ran really well when third at Kempton last time out on handicap debut. Off an unchanged mark, with plenty more to come, this son of New Bay should again be in the mix back up to a mile.
Tips: ZOLDER
