Wincanton Place 6 preview | 19th December

12.20 – TrustATrader Approved And Reviewed Trades People Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase – 3m1f

SANDY BROOK looked badly in need of his return/chase debut when down the field last month, but he should be sharper and should play a leading role. BRING THE ACTION is down to a career-low mark and must have a chance if he can build upon his latest second.

Tips: SANDY BROOK, BRING THE ACTION

12.50 – Stalbridge Novices’ Handicap Chase – 1m7f

LIBBERTY HUNTER was poised to make a winning chase debut at Chepstow before he fell at the third last fence when going well. He is worth another chance to make amends. NON STOP improved from his chase at Kempton when fifth to finish second at Taunton and is of serious interest over this shorter trip.

Tips: LIBBERTY HUNTER, NON STOP

13.20 – TrustATrader Fully Vetted Tradespeople Novices’ Hurdle – 2m3f

LORD OF THUNDER was highly tested on his hurdles debut in a Grade 2 race and improved markedly on that display to take second here when last seen. He sets a clear standard for those with less experience and should be hard to beat.

Tips: LORD OF THUNDER

13.50 – Lady Godiva Mares’ Novices’ Chase (Listed) – 2m4f

GAME ON FOR GLORY ran really well when runner-up on her chase debut last month, and she has been left on the same mark for this race while being open to further improvement over fences. MOVIDDY was only just behind the former at Warwick when third and could also run well. I’ll take a chance on them to reverse her latest form with Marsh Wren. The favourite will be hard to beat, though.

Tips: GAME ON FOR GLORY, MOVIDDY

14.20 – TrustATrader Apply Today Maiden Hurdle – 1m7f

Nicky Henderson’s BY THE GRACE has shown enough in bumpers to suggest she can make her mark over hurdles. She should be in contention, granted a clear round. TINY TETLEY shaped very well when third in a novice hurdle at Taunton on debut and could improve to fill the frame.

Tips: BY THE GRACE, TINY TETLEY

14.50 – trustatrader.com Handicap Chase – 2m4f

HALL LANE couldn’t get to grips with an impressive winner on his chase debut but didn’t lose anything in defeat in finishing second and could go one better. HARJO also shaped encouragingly on his chase debut when third and is expected to build on that here.

Tips: HALL LANE, HARJO
