Captain Chutney took full advantage of a leg 4 blowout at Plumpton last week as his 5-person Syndicate scooped £2,334 from a £19.20 bet!

Horse Racing fans were delighted as British Racing returned on Wednesday, including a 6-race card at Plumpton. Favourites made it plain-sailing in legs 1-3 of our Boosted £10,000 Place 6, but leg 4 proved to be a tricky one with 22/1 Micquus and 40/1 Away For Slates grabbing the places. That left just 1.20 units remaining in the hunt for the Jackpot, including Captain Chutney and Co.

At this point, the Captain decided to make a Cash Out on behalf of his Syndicate, banking £1,238 (80%) of the £1,548 offer.

Another couple of placed selections in leg 5 gave them the possibility of four winning lines in the pool. Captain Chutney took another £296, meaning that all contributors had now locked in 79x their stake!

They’re ticket was the only one left in the pool going into the final race, and Riviere Argentee (7/2) came 2nd to ensure a winning dividend of £800 for the Syndicate – a nice addition to the £1,534 that they had already made through Cash Out.
