Plumpton Place 6 Preview | 3rd November
13.08 Racehorse Sanctuary & Rehoming Centre Maiden Hurdle
Jamada could take a bit of beating but POET LAUREATE was a massive eye-catcher when third on hurdles debut at Worcester three weeks ago and is sure to build on that for the in-form Chris Gordon team. I think he’s a solid alternative to the favourite, who blew a golden chance at Sedgefield when last seen.
Tips: POET LAUREATE
13.38 Extech Cloud Novices’ Handicap Chase
The consistency GONE IN SIXTY has shown can see her be rewarded with success. She has finished on all of her last four starts, including over C&D two weeks ago and can compete off the same mark. There’s no reason why she won’t be firmly in the mix.
Tips: GONE IN SIXTY
14.08 Roy Farley 80th Birthday Celebration Maiden Hurdle
Maldini Milano seems untrustworthy and the vote goes to DAYLATEDOLLARSHORT for the in-form Olly Murphy and Sean Bowen combination on hurdles debut. This point winner has been found a good opportunity to make a serious impact and earns the vote.
Tips: DAYLATEDOLLARSHORT
14.38 Auditel Cost & Carbon Management Challenge Handicap Hurdle
WALK ON HIGH was in really good form when last seen, winning back-to-back events and should have more to offer this season. Harry Fry’s improver looks still ahead of the assessor off a mark of 128, so is fancied to make a successful return despite going up in grade. The other one to consider is LOVERDOSE.
Tips: WALK ON HIGH & LOVERDOSE
15.08 John Weight Gone But Not Forgotten Handicap Chase
IVANE is going from strength-to-strength and made it three wins from his last four starts when defeating Bumpy Evans at Sedgefield. He’s up another 6lb dropping down in distance, but he’s thriving at present and another win could be on the cards. Last week’s Fontwell third JEFFERY’S CROSS is feared most off an unchanged mark.
Tips: IVANE & JEFFERY’S CROSS
15.38 Fully Booked Handicap Hurdle
MISTRESS EMMA won her sole bumper start in 2022 and returned from a long absence to finish second on hurdles debut at Newbury last December. She looked set to make a serious threat at Warwick when seen until making a bad mistake at the final hurdle and an opening mark of 103 on handicap debut should prove lenient.
Tips: MISTRESS EMMA
