KAJIKIA made heavy weather in making a winning hurdles debut over C&D last month but will have learned a lot and should prove difficult to beat. Newcomer to this sphere DAYZEE won three times on the Flat and could emerge as the biggest danger to the favourite.

KING OF THE STORY beat GONE IN SIXTY at Warwick four weeks ago but there shouldn’t be much between them this time. Maybe a slight preference is for the former, but the latter must be feared and turned out quickly having finished second three days ago.

15.10 Peter Gander Memorial Handicap Hurdle
EZ TIGER has C&D winning form and only found one too good here last month. He looks sure to be thereabouts off only a 2lb higher figure. HILL STATION does come into the race in good form himself though, placing three times and winning once from his last four starts.

HECOULDBETHEONE could be the one to come out on top. James Owen’s charge is only a couple of pounds higher than when he won at Uttoxeter back in June and should give this a good go. ALIEN STORM came close to winning at Fontwell last time out and is feared most.

16.10 Bet Goodwin Handicap Hurdle
TURN AND FINISH produced a decent effort when sixth in a warmer event at Chepstow nine days ago and the return to slower ground against easier opposition could see him land this event for Harry Derham. The other one to consider is NAP HAND for Chris Gordon.

16.42 Nick And Valda Embiricos Memorial Novices’ Handicap Chase
KEN ROY has had his issues and was disappointing when last seen over hurdles but maybe the fences will revitalise him and this is a good opportunity for him to run well on his seasonal reappearance. MASTERDREAM has won his last three starts in this sphere and must have every chance.
